SHERMAIN TO LAUNCH PINK CARPET IN ANTIGUA WITH A GLAM GOD
New York, NY – Tropicgem Recording Artist, Shermain hot off the heels of her successful album launch in New York at the Country Club in Manhattan, is getting set to host a “Pink Carpet” and “Pink Tie” Affair and Album Launch in her home country of Antigua. On Sunday June 7th, 2009 Antigua’s number 1 hot spot – The Rush Night Club will be transformed into the “Pink Zone”, commemorating the release of her debut album My Way, My Style officially released worldwide on May 4th, 2009.

It is expected to be a night filled with “pink”, as well as special prizes and giveaways, while the Antiguan Songstress showcases songs from her album. Indashio, celebrity stylist, designer, humanitarian, entrepreneur and winner of the VH1 Hit reality Show “Glam God” will make a celebrity appearance at the “Pink Affair”. Indashio, 24, known for being the youngest designer to showcase at the New York Fashion Week will be on-island for this year’s Destination Wedding hosted by the Ministry of Tourism in commemoration of June - The Romance Month.

The dazzling diva notes, “I am looking forward to Sunday because I get the opportunity to really showcase myself and my album to my own people who have supported me for so long. Also, the launch comes at a great time since we are celebrating June as “The Romance Month” it gives me the opportunity to really promote Antigua and Barbuda not just as a romance destination but as a destination that can deliver top-class talent.” Local sponsors include the Rush Night club, Kennedy’s Club Ltd and Antigua and Barbuda Tourism.

SHERMAIN DID IT HER WAY HER STYLE
New York, NY – Though it was a rainy evening, the Country Club at W 14th Street in Manhattan, NYC was “Burning Up” as sizzling hot Antiguan born, Tropicgem Recording Artist, Shermain Jeremy launched her debut album “My way, My Style” to an overflowing venue last Monday, May 4th. The pink carpet affair was draped with celebrity DJ’s Steelie Bashment and Skerrit Bwoy, Def Jam Hip Hop artist 40 Cal Hammerz, Universal Motown Recording Artist Hal Linton, Dancehall Diva and choreographer out of Jamaica Latonya Style, top Antiguan designer Calvin S responsible for Shermain’s stunning yellow ensemble at the 28th Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards on Sunday night, and renowned celebrity photographer and featured judge on this season's America's Next Top model Keith Major. Also in attendance was Bennybwoy, the original Jewmaican, Lushy Banton, Mesha and Sky.

The New York media was out in their numbers to greet the budding star on the pink carpet who wore a signature, short pink dress with frills, cinched at the waist and diamond stilettos on her feet. The packed venue was filled with the aroma of treats and delights catered by Antiguan Chef Murphy. Fans and supporters alike had the opportunity to taste some of Antigua’s true flavor as gloved servers offered delicacies such as bayside shrimp in pineapple/mango dip, lobster tartar stuffed in seashells and Wadadli tropical fruit ensemble.

Shermain and her dancers decked the stage of the Country Club in front of over 300 screaming fans and supporters. She delivered popular songs from her My Way, My Style debut album to include, “I Came” featuring Vybz Kartel and “Goodbye”. The boisterous crowd could not contain themselves which later prompted a command encore performance, to include “Killing Me” and “Burning Up”. Her CD, which was available for purchase, was devoured by fans and many lined up patiently to have their album personally autographed by the dazzling diva. Shermain is very pleased with the outcome of the event and states, “I feel blessed and humbled by this opportunity and I hope that everyone who has purchased a copy tonight or downloads a copy or single online will enjoy this album which truly comes from my heart.”

Antigua and Barbuda Director of Tourism Ms Derede Samuel-Whitlock and Director of Sales and Marketing Dean Fenton were also in attendance and offered a two-night stay at the Lighthouse Bay in Barbuda for one lucky winner of the Charity Raffle. Shermain and her team felt compelled to take the opportunity to give back to her community in Antigua and Barbuda. Funds raised from the Charity Raffle will be donated to a charitable organization that supports orphaned girls. “It’s not always about receiving, it’s also important to give back and there are many young women in Antigua and Barbuda who need help and I intend to continue to assist those organizations whose goals are to help and protect our young women in need”, said the budding star.

Shermain's manager and sister, Sumita Jeremy was also pleased with the turn out and performance of the event "It was hard work putting this album release together, but tonight really showed that it was all worth it. This is not the end for Shermain or TropicGem Records – it is only the beginning. We will continue to market the album and we are currently working on a US College Tour for this fall."

Shermain has up-coming performances scheduled for this Sunday’s Queen of the Sea Mother’s Day Dinner and Concert which features VP Recording Artist Wayne Wonder as well as an appearance at Kahnami Creations luncheon in New Rochelle.

Shermain Sizzles at Middlebury College in Vermont
New York, NY – The daring diva and former Miss Antigua World and Universe – Shermain Jeremy was the headliner this past weekend at Middlebury College in Vermont. The Pan Caribbean Students Association launched the campus’ first ever Caribbean themed event to raise funds for charitable organizations within the Caribbean region. The President of the club Mr. Brandon Hawkins who is of Antiguan decent was ecstatic about the event and Shermain’s performance “this is the first Caribbean event that the college has ever seen. I am very excited to share my Caribbean culture with the Middlebury student body and I hope that they will leave the stadium with a newfound outlook on Caribbean life, music and culture.”

Other acts included the New York based Fusion Band and Vincentian soca band X-Trax. Shermain performed songs from her debut Style album “My Way, My Style” with sequin-clad dancers and represented with waving Antiguan flags. The event was a huge success as the Middlebury McCoullough Students Center was filled to capacity with screaming students and supporters.

Shermain and her team were pleased with the night’s performance and were overwhelmed by the strong support from the audience. “I was really pleasantly surprised by the response from the audience. Middlebury has an extremely small West Indian population and it was quite refreshing to see them dancing and enjoying our Caribbean music. They really appreciated what we brought to the stage that night.”

Shermain flew back to New York the following morning as she was slated to make her first major red carpet appearance at the 28th Annual Reggae and World Music Awards held that Sunday evening. Major acts such as Beenie Man, Alison Hinds and Taurus Riley to name a few also made appearances as well as received awards that night.

Shermain Gets Ready for Official Album Release on May 4th, 2009
NEW YORK, NY – Former Miss Antigua World and Miss Antigua Universe Shermain Jeremy gears up for the release of her highly anticipated debut album, My Way, My Style on Monday April 4th 2009 at the fabulous and chic Country Club in New York City.

Event sponsor, the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Office has teamed up with independent label TropicGem Records to host the event and to transform the Country Club into a sweet island escape. Celebrity Chef Murphy will bring the Antiguan flavor to the Manhattan’s Lower West Side with local delicacies and traditional dishes.

My Way My Style available online as of May 4th and in select stores features popular singles like “I Came feat. Vybz Kartel” and “Burning Up” and has been a work in progress for the budding star. With no label help or support, Shermain has managed to create and release her first album on her own with the help and support of her family. She admits, that My Way My Style, as the album is appropriately entitled “didn't follow any rules or industry status quo. It didn't go through countless round tables of approvals and disapprovals; it's just a reflection of me and the creative place I was in for the past three years.” She insists, that the album is “real and honest” and is a reflection of her undying spirit and love for music “in its most raw and natural form”.

Shermain Launches New Websites and Releases “Goodbye”
New York, NY – Former Miss Antigua Universe Shermain Jeremy also dubbed “The Most Talented Woman in the World” after her success in China at the Miss World Pageant is on the music front again. On the cusp of releasing her long anticipated album “My Way My Style” Shermain has launched new websites: www.shermain.com and www.myspace.com/shermaindiva and a hot new single to go along with the sizzling sites. The new single called “Goodbye” is a more sultry mid-tempo ballad with a hint of reggae and is a different touch to her previous singles to include “I Came” featuring Vybz Kartel and “Feel It” showcased on the Mad Ting Riddim. “Goodbye” exposes Shermain’s strengths vocally and is a reflection of her versatility as an artist. “I think a lot of persons particularly women will relate to this song.
